High Temperature Alloy Steel

High Temperature Alloy Steel investment casting for demanding service conditions.

High-temperature chrome-moly alloy steel castings WC6, WC9, C5, and C12

High Temperature Alloy Steel

Chrome-molybdenum alloy steels are the standard materials for valve and piping components operating at elevated temperatures in power plants, refineries, and petrochemical facilities. These grades maintain their strength and creep resistance at temperatures up to 600°C.

  • WC6 (1.25Cr-0.5Mo): up to 540°C
  • WC9 (2.25Cr-1Mo): up to 580°C
  • C5 (5Cr-0.5Mo): up to 600°C
  • C12 (9Cr-1Mo): up to 600°C
  • Normalized + tempered or Q&T heat treatment
