CF3M Cast Stainless Steel (Cast 316L)

ASTM A351 / CF3M. CF3M is the low-carbon cast equivalent of 316L stainless — its very low carbon prevents carbide precipitation, making it ideal for as-welded castings and intergranular-corrosion resistance.

FAQ

What is the difference between CF8M and CF3M?

Both are cast 316-type stainless with molybdenum. CF3M has lower carbon (≤0.03%) to resist sensitization (carbide precipitation) during welding — choose CF3M for welded castings or where intergranular corrosion is a concern.
